Long time, no blog…

The lack of blogging seems inevitable considering the start of university life and other time consuming things like Christmas and holidays.

My last post was obviously about the hype of MPH which, from what I can remember, was amazing! It seems like years ago now though. One thing I do remember though was the no-show of Chris Barrie, much to our disappointment, the fantastic Top Gear Live show, complete with audience participation cards…and the fact we passed up a chance to meet and greet James May. The best moment of the day had to be when my cousin refered to peoples reactions to seeing a Bugatti Veyron as “it’s like they’ve seen a unicorn…”

I am now 3 weeks into my 2nd semester of uni, and still enjoying it Not once have I regretted my choice of studying film & television, it has only encouraged and enhanced my love of it all.

Off to Disneyland Paris on sunday to celebrate my birthday with my best friend, it’s certainly one way to have a party, even with

”Minnie Mouse’s Party Train!”, I have a feeling its gonna be a fabulous few days!!

I have a feeling that this fairly rubbish week shall culminate into something quite exciting when myself and my cousin embark on an epic jounrney to the MPH car show in London on sunday.
Complete with Top Gear live and a classic car show, its proving too much for Abby with the countdown to sunday ever approaching!
Fingers crossed for an apparence from classic car lover Chris Barrie. But in truth, that would be too much to cope with…

“No DoDo Diaries left!?!”

Today, I guess, was the last day of freedom before D-Day (i.e. the first day of uni on monday). I have had such an amazing holiday, full of random days out, best friends and of course, drinking (as any 18 year old should be).

Even today was lovely, tried to buy the last of the things I need to make my transition to uni even easier. The only thing I managed to get myself a Starbucks flask, for my much needed morning coffees, and got a free Starbucks to go in it!

I loose two of my bestest ever friends this weekend, both going off to far off places to work hard and discover their dreams and ultimately their futures. I wish them all the luck in the world.

I, however, have to spend my weekend working, so for now, my holiday is over…

But to be honest, I am too excited about starting “the next chapter of my life” (haha) to care!
Bring. It. On.

“Tubthumping…?”

As the countdown to uni is now in single figures, an afternoon with my favourite boys was very much needed. Conversations about Zooey Deschael, the best kind of pen for uni, and a discussion about the gay love-scene in a film I apparently HAVE to make (entitled ‘Tubthumping’. Which includes a bath tub and the Chumbawumba 1990′s classic “Tubthumping”) were all commonplace during the afternoons mishaps. I’m gonna miss afternoons like that…

However, I am also very excited about the plans for some Hallowe’en costumes that me and my good friend Laura are working on. We are gonna get best dressed at any party we may attend in the Hallowe’en season! I’m glad she’s not going anywhere too far away

“ALIENS!”

Many, many moons ago, in the sunny month of June, my cousin Abby and I decided to send an email to Chris Barrie in a very excited and hyper rage. We waited for months for the reply and recently gave up hope of ever hearing from our hero.

However, as I casually signed on to my hotmail account today, as I do everyday, there was one email there I was not expecting to see.

“Hi Annie and Abby,

Many thanks for your kind words! A new series of Britain’s Greatest Machines and probably 6 new Red dwarf episodes will be airing in 2010.

So, being the intelligent, forward thinking, independent individual that I am, I decided to copy my friends and start a blog. It is really a way of keeping my nearest and dearest up to date with the excitement that is; my life. With uni fast approaching, and friends moving further and further away, it seems only appropriate to keep in touch, and blogging seems to be the letter writing of the 21st century…

I will probably update with my random thoughts and feelings, and possibly posts about films I see, which I’m sure will help with my Film Studies course at uni

I will stop for now, because to be honest, I haven’t really got a clue what I’m doing!
